17 of our Year 6 students enjoyed 3 days on their Bikeability training. These students know that it is essential that they are trained if they are to use the busy roads of Penrith and the surrounding area safely. Initially they were assessed and then, in small groups, began their training. They had a great week and brushed up on bike maintenance, essential riding skills, signalling and road user awareness.
As the week progressed cyclists steadily improved and they were taken on challenging cycle rides to ensure that they became proficient road users and react quickly and safely to any road situation. All cyclists came prepared for the rigorous week of training. All had a good, road worthy bike, and safety cycle helmets.
WELL DONE, YEAR 6 AND MANY THANKS TO THE TERRIFIC TRAINERS!
