This year we have marked the four weeks of Advent with a focus on Acts of Kindness in our build up to Christmas. Our beautiful Advent Wreath in Assembly has been a focus for us to think about Hope, Peace, Love and Joy this Christmas.
Children have nominated each other for individual acts, completing hundreds of Advent Kindness Tickets in school. Just a few examples are:
Najwa – “when I had no one to play with, she made me happy”
Frankie – “for smiling at me on the bus: you cheer me up!”
Alyssia – “for helping others and not being a bystander”
Tyler – “for helping me and understanding what I got stressed with”
Quin – “for always letting others join his games”
These Acts of Kindness reflect the “spirit of North Lakes”: they are what we are all about. At our final Christmas Assembly, we will have a special Christmas raffle where we will pull out some tickets and choose some Advent Act of Kindness prize winners – thank you everyone for making such a difference this Christmas!
