Year 5 Rydal Water
Welcome to Rydal class. We are a thoughtful and imaginative class of year 5 children. Our class teacher is Mr Hodgson and we are lucky enough to have a lot of adults that come and support us including: Miss Janicka, Mrs Todd, Mrs Raine, Mrs Cardia to name a few.
We generally have PE on a Monday and a Thursday but occasional Friday. Keep an eye on FROG for updates.
Our elected school council representatives are Jamie and Svetlana and our shadow representatives are Niamh and Tristan who are always ready to support when the need arises.
We recognise that reading is the key to success and we take reading very seriously in Bassenthwaite, from engaging in challenging class texts such as Cogheart to 'striving for 5' reads at home every week.
We also work hard in our learning to develop the 5Rs -Relationships, Resilience, Resourcefulness, Reflecting and Risk Taking. All these skills are important ingredients to success in our learning at North Lakes School. We love to be enquirers too, Philosophizing and constantly asking questions about many aspects of our learning and life.
We are very much looking forward to the year ahead. We will work together to create a great learning atmosphere and do the best we can to achieve our potential.
