North Lakes entered teams from Y3&4 and Y5&6 into the Eden Valley Tri-Golf competition at Penrith Leisure Centre. The teams were scored on their performance in 10 different events. Working against the clock, the children had to putt, chip and hit targets with their club and ball. There were bonus points up for grabs for team spirit, good behaviour, and sportsmanship. Both teams did not score lower than 9/10 in every event, which shows how well they did in representing the school. It was an excellent effort as not only did our teams outscore the other schools in their session but also recorded the highest scores all day, meaning both teams finished top in their age category. We now qualify for the next round in January.

A big thank you to all the helpers that came along and supported the children; without your support it would not be possible to participate in these wonderful sporting events. Fingers crossed for the big final in January.  With ever increasing costs at school, we are relying on our wonderful (grand)parental support - If you think you can help out with transport on this day, please contact the school office.
