North Lakes are mathematical superstars! We have won the Cumbria Sumdog Maths Contest again! Elterwater Maths Group hurtled into 1st place, winning the competition with 736 points. Bassenthwaite Maths took 2nd place with 589 points, and Rydal Water Maths group were 3rd in Cumbria with 571 points. Windermere Maths were 16th, Ullswater Maths were 17th, and Buttermere Maths were 18th overall!

It is a fantastic achievement to have so many classes in the Cumbrian top 20 - daily winners in the contest included Elterwater, Rydal and Bassenthwaite. The congratulations don’t stop there, as North Lakes also had 37 of the top 50 students in Cumbria!

Each competitor could answer a maximum of 1000 questions each. Kacey was 3rd in Cumbria with a tremendous 938 correct. Robert R was 4th with 909 correct, Ryan C was 8th with 896, and Ryan F-K was 9th with 880.  Well done to you all!

We are so proud of everyone who has taken part in this competition – each participant received a special Myths and Legends Sumdog outfit for their avatar, and the winners Elterwater have won another free 30 pupil subscription for the school!
