Sands Centre Soccer (Jan 2013)
On Saturday 19 January a strong team from North Lakes School travelled to Carlisle to take part in the annual Sands Centre 5 a side 
tournament.
This is always a tough event featuring large schools from Cumbria and SW Scotland. North Lakes played four games, drawing 4-4 with Bishop Harvey Goodwin School, beating All Saints (Cockermouth) 1-0, and losing narrowly to Victoria Juniors (Workington) 4-3, and Stanwix School 2-1.
The team worked really hard for each other and improved rapidly over the morning so that by the end of the event they were a far stronger team than at the start, playing really good football. Their performance drew praise from a number of spectators, and behaviour was really good. Well done to Tom S, Matthew L, Liam S, Luke, Nathan, Ben V, James, and Jay Mc.
