Reindeer Run (Dec 2021)
The Reindeer Run has been a ‘National Focus’ for children’s hospices throughout the United Kingdom. ‘Jigsaw’ is our local hospice in Carlisle which is accessed by local families and their children. Children who have attended North Lakes School have been patients at the hospice and have spoken of its fantastic support.
Great excitement was evident throughout school. We each had a pair of reindeer antlers and our staggered starts ensured that we could complete our 6 laps safely and socially distanced whilst also contributing a mile towards our 100 Mile Challenge.
The event was great fun, we kept fit, ran, jogged or walked with our friends and raised a great deal of money for a fantastic cause!
Wait for it…. Can you guess how much you raised? Well, here is the total… (Can you hear the drumming?) The amount raised was a staggering £1,142.55 plus numerous online donations on our social media!
What supportive, fantastic children, parents, carers and friends we have! Thank you.
