Indoor Athletics (Oct 2019)
Twenty-four pupils from Years 5 and 6 travelled to Kirkby Stephen Grammar School, for the Eden Valley Indoor Athletics Final. The teams competed in a number of field and track events. Everyone showed great commitment and sportsmanship, cheering on the two North Lakes teams and other schools from the area. Great determination was shown by everyone, with 2 children even getting up and continuing, after a spectacular fall!
Whilst the results were being calculated, it was time for the adults to take part in a Javelin competition. There was great support from the children and Miss Swinbank was able to proudly take the top spot! Everyone then gathered around for the results. It was brilliant to hear the North Lakes Purple came 4th and North Lakes White came 2nd. Well done to everyone who took part, and a big thank you to all the parents who came and helped throughout the morning.
