Harvest Festival (October 2014)

Earlier this term, at North Lakes School we celebrated our Harvest Festival with the focus on sharing and the community. The children and staff wanted to support people in Penrith so they have been donating food and toiletries to the Salvation Army. The response from the children and their families was very generous, with many families sending 3 or more items to school. Stuart and Jenny McPhee, Officers from the Salvation Army in Penrith joined the school to celebrate Harvest and collect all of the food parcels. Reverend Rachel Stavert and Emma Richardson (NISCU) also joined the celebrations and shared their Harvest messages with the children.

To continue this link between the school and the Salvation Army, a box for any additional food donations was placed in the Reception area in school. This has already been filled and collected once, thanks to the generosity of all our families. We will continue to pass on your gifts, so please keep them coming! Stuart and Jenny will collect the donations from school.
