World Book Day
WORLD BOOK DAY (THURSDAY 5th MARCH) - CELEBRATING ON WEDNESDAY 4th MARCH
We will celebrate World Book Day on Wednesday 5th March. All children will be receiving a £1 book token, as in previous years. We will be joined by Jon Dennison from Wordsworth Bookshop, who will be hosting a book sale in the Art Room. The children will be able to exchange their tokens for one of a range of £1 books on sale.
We would like to invite parents or grandparents to join us for a meal and to bring a book (a maximum of 1 adult only per child please, as it will be busy!). Coniston, Windermere and Ullswater parents are invited at 11.30am to join a reading session with their child, followed by a school meal at 12 noon and a chance to browse the bookshop with them.
Buttermere, Elterwater and Rydal Water parents are invited at 12.30pm for a meal followed by a chance to browse the bookshop and then to join our daily reading time in class at 1pm and share a good book with their child. More details of the menu and final timings will follow after half term.
