Swimming Gala Success

The annual Penrith School Swimming Gala took place on Saturday 19 June, and North Lakes School’s small but perfectly formed team took on strong opposition from Beaconside and Stainton in the large schools’ competition.

North Lakes were represented by Ellie, Ethan, Florence, Luke, Evie Jamieson, Robbie, and James.
There were 15 events in all and the team never wavered in their strength, determination and encouragement for each other. Luke's performance was outstanding as he raced in 9 of the events, but each team member contributed with brave individual efforts, including Evie who clinched the Breast Stoke Relay on moving from 3rd to 1st place on the last length!
The team thoroughly deserved their final position of second place behind Stainton– WELL DONE! In the North Lakes School M.A.Wilson Cup, Luke Brown was victorious for the second year in a row, a great achievement! Last but by no means least BIG THANKS to Dawn Coates who represented the school admirably in the “Teachers’” Race.
