Another fantastic reading challenge awaits readers at Penrith Library – it is action packed. Each reader gets a poster and is rewarded for the number of books that are read - great books, great reading and a fabulous medal in its own box. Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered into a prize draw for a special prize. Just turn up and you will be allowed to join even if you don’t already have a library card. Remember there is a special app that can be downloaded.
Please read - remember good readers make great writers. It is from the reading that writers pinch great ideas and great vocabulary. Writers experience the author’s voice and begin to use it themselves. Good readers also notice how writers vary sentences for effect and how they use punctuation effectively. Join the challenge, starting Saturday 12th July. Workshops are on at the library throughout the holiday.
