It's World Book Day 2014 this Thursday!
To mark World Book Day 2014 in a positive way, Oxfam are again running their MESSGE IN A BOOK campaign, which has been so successful in the past. We are asking children and staff to bring a book they have loved but would like to pass on to another child. During the day, the children will write a message in their book about Oxfam work, after the event we will donate the books to Oxfam for them to sell.
A representative from Penrith Oxfam will come to talk to everyone in our special assembly at 9.15 along with Andrea from Wordsworth Bookshop, who will be setting up a book fair for the children to spend their World Book Day 2014 Voucher
Y5&6 Parents are invited at 11.30 to join Elterwater, Buttermere and Rydal Water for a pre Lunch Read, followed by lunch at school and a browse of the Wordsworth Book Fair
Y3&4 parents are welcome to join Coniston Ullswater and Windermere from 12.15pm for a school lunch followed by a browse of the Wordsworth Book Fair, rounded off with a read with their child's class
