With the end of another school year we are sorry to be saying goodbye to two valued members of staff.
Amy Swinbank joined us a newly qualified teacher in 2018, and quickly established herself as a popular, hardworking and committed teacher. Miss Swinbank has taught Year 6 for three years and has brought a lot of fun and energy to the classroom, building great relationships with the children and boosting their confidence and progress throughout some challenging times. Now soon to be married, Miss Swinbank is setting up a new home close to their farm near Cockermouth, and she has decided to move to a new school closer to home. We wish Amy every success and happiness at her new school – and thank her for all she has given at North Lakes School.
Hannah Shanks has worked with us for the past year as a Teaching Assistant, having qualified as a teacher in 2020. She has brought enthusiasm, creativity and a great sense of fun to the school and has worked almost entirely in Bubble C, due to restrictions over the past twelve months. We would like to thank Hannah for her hard work and support for the children, and we are very pleased for Hannah that she is moving on now to start her teaching career at a small, nearby village school. Well done, and good luck!
