As another school year draws to a close I would like to thank our children, parents, staff and governors for all their hard work and support.
This has been a really successful school year. We were delighted to receive a good Ofsted report in December, which reflected a lot of hard work and the real progress made by the school in recent years. We are very pleased with the 2014 Year 6 test results, which have shown improvements in all subjects since last year at Levels 4 and 5, and record scores in Maths (94% L4 and 50% L5).
This has been the most successful ever year for school sport, with victories in many tournaments including football, rugby, gymnastics, cricket, tennis and athletics. This has been an exceptionally talented group of children, but our teams have also improved their skills and really believe in themselves as they go to compete. Musical events have been memorable as always, with a terrific Transition Choir concert involving 24 schools and co-ordinated by North Lakes with Blue Jam. The children have enjoyed a huge range of opportunities again, and have been a credit to the school on so many occasions.
We wish you all a happy and restful holiday, and look forward to a fresh start in September. If any parents would like to join the school team, or you know of anyone who may be interested, we are advertising for a Midday Supervisor to start in September. We also have a vacancy for a Parent Governor which we will be recruiting for early in the new term - all applicants are welcome!
