Thirty-four runners from Year 3 – 6 took part in this challenging event organised by Hunter Hall School. The course was demanding with three hill sections and a lot of mud! The girls and boys under 9 teams were first to compete, all runners completed the course with speed and determination and set a challenging pace for the Under 11 teams to follow. Thomas in Year 6 finished in 1st place overall with team mates close behind in 5th, 20th and 31st place. This outstanding performance from the boys gained them a team medal finishing in first place. The girls ran superbly well too with Lexi taking 8th place overall and team mates 19th, 20th and 41st – this earning the girls team a bronze medal, finishing third overall. A fantastic effort by all on this clear but chilly day, finished up with a hot chocolate and cake treat. Well done to all our runners who were fantastic ambassadors for NLS.
