At the end of a long and busy term, I would like to express my thanks:
Thank you to all our parents and carers for their support and patience, especially with the Covid-19 restrictions which we really appreciate. We are so grateful for the kind and sensible precautions so many families have taken to help to keep others safe.
Thank you to our governors for their support and challenge, in helping the school to reflect and move forward again this term after a difficult time with the pandemic.
Thank you to every one of our staff for their commitment, support and dedication to the children. We have dealt with many changes and worked hard to enable the children to get back into school routines safely this term.
And thank you to the children for a very positive term, for their friendliness, cheerfulness and hard work as they have settled into their new classes.
We have taken a cautious approach to the easing of restrictions this term, and when Covid-19 rates increased in November we took the decision to move to online assemblies again and to limit visitors and face to face events. I am sorry that this has meant that we could not hold our end of term celebration at St. Andrew’s, but I am sure that this will have reduced the risk of cross contamination, and will have helped more families to stay safe this Christmas.
I wish you all a happy and peaceful holiday. We very much look forward to a happy, healthy and successful new school year with more face-to-face time in 2022!
