Once again, the Year 6 children were honoured to be VIPs at this year’s UCC Prize Day. Joining guests of honour Joey Essex, local businessmen and woman, proud parents and staff. The children watched many brothers and sisters, past pupils and friends receive prizes to celebrate their hard work and achievements in school. We were also entertained by showpieces from the UCC Big Band, Drama students, a cabaret performance of ‘All that Jazz’ by the dance students, an amazing performance from the schools Flying Angel gymnastic team and a grand finale of stunts, jumps and flyers in the schools National Champion Cheerleading Team. Joey Essex added a little sparkle to the afternoon – it is not every day a celebrity comes to Penrith to celebrate.
