Y5&6 Sportshall Athletics (Nov 2016)
This year, 2 teams of Year 6 boys and girls travelled to Appleby Grammar School to compete in the Eden Valley Primary Indoor Athletics tournament. Participating in a full range of athletics events from track to field, all students competed in 4 activities each.
The event was well organised by the Sports Partnership and certainly was action packed with little time for a rest! North Lakes performed really well with one team placed third, and the other fifth. We narrowly missed out on gaining a place in the grand final next year. Well done to all our athletes, who were a great team.
All pupils were great ambassadors for the school and participated with a great sporting attitude. A special mention to Grace G who stepped in at the last minute to take a place and saved the day! A big thank you also goes to Mrs Currie and Mrs Hodgson – your support is very much appreciated!
