Y5&6 Indoor Athletics (Nov 2018)
Earlier this term, a team of Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in an Indoor Athletics Competition through the Eden Valley Sports Partnership at Kirkby Stephen School. Twenty-four students took part and both teams did exceptionally well with every member winning at least one event contributing their teams overall score. Both North Lakes teams were the early leaders as they managed to finish 1st or 2nd in every track event.
A special mention to Ewan, Layton, Poppy and Katie G who each competed in 3 races and finished 1st in every one! The children found the jumping and throwing events more challenging, and overall the two teams finished 3rd and 6th in the Eden Valley, narrowly missing out on qualifying for the next round.
A big thank you to all the helpers that came and assisted with the running of the day and well done to everyone who participated, it was a great atmosphere and once again our young sports people.
