There is no holding back NLS mathematicians when it comes to Sumdog! Many of our mathematicians have again finished in the top 50 in this term's Cumbria Contest.

Ullswater Maths Group won 1st  place with 591 points; Rydal Water Maths Group were 2nd  (485pts), Coniston Maths group took 4th (385pts), Buttermere Maths Group 6th (251pts),Windermere Maths Group 7th (176) and Elterwater 9th (154) in Cumbria! It is a great achievement to have so many of our classes in the Cumbrian Top 10!

Daily winners in the contest included Windermere, Ullswater and Rydal. The congratulations don’t stop there, as North Lakes also had 39 of the top 50 students in Cumbria! Each competitor could answer a maximum of 1000 questions each. Katy F (ULL) was 1st in Cumbria, with a tremendous 975 correct – this is one of the highest scores we have ever had! Abbie K (ULL) was 2nd with 967 questions correct. Congratulations must go to both of you! Other children reaching the Top 10 were Francesco, Harry F, Nathan W, Millie G, Kyla & Layton W.

Children really need to visit Sumdog on a regular basis as it helps to develop and revise their basic Maths and Spelling Skills - it is proven to sharpen our skills and it is great fun. Play games against class mates, other schools and even the world! It is available to all pupils all summer too!
