North Lakes Mathematicians have exceeded themselves in this terms Cumbria Sumdog Maths Contest taking several top prizes! This time, Rydal surged into 1st place, winning the competition with 607 points. Windermere Maths group took 2nd place with 447 points, and Coniston Maths group were 3rd in Cumbria with 410 points. It is a fantastic achievement to have all eight of our classes in the Cumbrian top 10, while daily winners of the contest included Bassenthwaite, Buttermere and Rydal.

The congratulations don’t stop there, as North Lakes also had 44 of the top 50 students in Cumbria. We also had ALL of the Top 10 students in Cumbria: 1st Millie G – 940 correct, 2nd Francesco – 935 correct, 3rd Keian - 916, 4th Samson – 904, 5th Jack D – 900, 6th Jaiden F – 894, 7th Summer M – 891, 8th Alfie – 889, 9th Nicolae – 886, 10th Reuben, 861.   Each competitor could answer a maximum of 1000 questions each. Well done to you all! We are so proud of everyone who has taken part in this competition.  Rydal Maths have won a 6-month class subscription for the school and Windermere and Buttermere have won two 3- month subscriptions for school!
