PF&K Bake Sale - Music & Dreams Fundraiser (July 2016)
This year PFK are raising money for North Lakes and two of the school’s pupils. Their event was titled “Music & Dreams”. Anything raised will also be very generously matched by Barclays Bank, with additional funds donated to the Calvert Trust, and James Rennie School in Carlisle.
North Lakes School started their fundraising for the event with a non-uniform day. For a donation of £1, each pupil got a strip of raffle tickets. This raffle was drawn on the PFK fundraising day, and a fantastic array of Raffle Prizes were won.
On Friday 15th July the North Lakes children brought in some amazing baking contributions. These were then taken to PFK in the school mini bus to join other baking contributed by the community. The crowd were entertained by the excellent North Lakes School transition choir.
School are hoping that a contribution from PFK will enable us to buy a plasma screen interactive white board which will have many benefits including accessibility for wheelchair users and a wide viewing angle for those with impaired sight.
A massive thankyou to Christine Hullock and her PFK Ladies team who have made an amazing contribution to North Lakes School, and organised a great community effort. Thank you parents and children who helped make this day such a success!
