The Penrith museum was amazing!! We are learning about Victorians in Penrith. From learning about the first bike to how much fun Victorian children had at funerals, it really was amazing.
We did a timeline of events in Penrith too. We learned a lot about the Victorians. We looked at lots of Victorian artefacts like a lemonade bottle with a marble in the top. Victorian children used to smash the bottle so that they could play with the marble.
We dressed up as Victorians in shawls, clogs, a top hat and some special gloves. We also looked at famous Victorian pictures and gathered information about the period by looking at it carefully. It was just great. James Y5
