North Lakes pupils entered a very special Christmas card design competition. We were thrilled to receive a call from the secretary of Rory Stewart (MP for Penrith and the Border). She telephoned school on Friday 5th December to announce that Aleksandra (Ola) of Ullswater class was the Christmas Card design winner for Penrith and the Borders.
Each school was able to send two entries. That was a difficult enough job! All cards were turned face up, Mr Pincombe selected two. The winning entry will be Mr Stewart’s official Christmas card. Ullswater class were discussing who they thought might be receiving Ola’s card, one or two well known names were mentioned!
Ola met Mr Stewart on Saturday 13th December in Booths after his constituency surgery.
