Mini Police Presentation by Deputy Chief Constable (July 2019)
T
his term our main focus for our Y5 Mini Police has been developing community links. PCSO Nicolson has explored all aspects of Water Safety with our Mini Police and we have been out and about in Penrith learning about Railway Safety with a visit to Virgin Trains’ Penrith Station. We also spent time enhancing our school grounds by litter picking and growing sunflowers and wild flowers to brighten up the new fence and help towards the Cumbria in Bloom competition.
Our Mini Police have visited Winters Park Home to meet and read with the residents on two occasions. During the last week of term the Mini Police received their certificates Deputy Chief Constable Mark Webster during a special assembly – well done everyone!
