Mayday Competitions (May 2015)
North Lakes School are always keen to participate in this local annual event run by the Penrith Lions. There are two competitions, for drawing – children are asked to illustrate an activity they did over the Easter holidays and for handwriting – children are asked to submit no more than 10 lines from a favourite poem.
All entries were displayed in St Andrew’s and North Lakes pupils entered in abundance. Once again we were lucky to receive many highly commended awards and two placings. Well done to all for some wonderful entries, it must have been a difficult job for the judges.
Congratulations go to Katie for taking the first prize in the Year 3/4 drawing competition and to Harrison who was placed third in the Year 5/6 handwriting competition. Both received a WHSmith voucher.
