Hadrian's Wall Challenge (Nov 2016)

Many thanks to parent Anthea Jones and to Matty in Y5, who came in to assembly after half term and told the story of their amazing Hadrian’s Wall walk with Doug the dog for Multiple Sclerosis. Despite constant muscular pain, Anthea falling on many occasions, and Matty having a sickness bug, they crossed the country and completed almost 100 miles in eight days. Anthea says it is so important that people learn more about MS- she says that although people may look fine, they do not feel fine. Having lost her sight earlier this year, she has now recovered this and she wanted to prove what she can do.

Tales of this amazing achievement were an absolute inspiration, and the children gave them a terrific reception. We were amazed and inspired by their resilience. Well done, and thank you, both of you!
