EVSP Football Finals (June 2016)
In mid June, North Lakes football team travelled to Kirkby Stephen to take part in the Eden Valley Primary Football Finals, as Penrith champions. This was an exciting event with seven strong teams taking part, and North Lakes worked hard and improved throughout the event as they played six matches, drawing three and winning three. Wins against Appleby, Lazonby and Long Marton were backed up with draws against Clifton, Kirkby Stephen and Brough. Great team play meant that North Lakes dominated most games and created many chances, scoring ten goals and only conceding once in six matches!
Congratulations to our players who were excellent sporting ambassadors and really enjoyed the event, playing some skilful, pacey football. North Lakes finished in second place, runners up to Kirkby Stephen in the Eden Valley Finals – a great effort!
