Eden Valley Hockey Finals (Feb 14)
After our success in the first round of this competition back in October both teams travelled to Kirkby Stephen Grammar school in February to take part in the Eden Valley Sports Partnership Final. 
After last minute excitements with the school mini bus, we managed to finally arrive just in the 'nick of time' to participate! The weather was cold and so players had to make sure they kept warm when playing and especially when scoring and umpiring! Both teams did well in their opening games with lovely dribbling skills from Harvey F, Reon and Kofi in Team A and Mackenzie, Callum and Ollie defending well for team B.
On the day we just couldn't seem to get the attack flowing and so were narrowly beaten in the first games. Both teams played at a fast pace and demonstrated a lot of skill and talent during the afternoon.
Unfortunately things just didn't work out for our teams on the day and they narrowly missed out on going through to the semi finals. Team work was excellent and both teams did well to pick up spirits and win their final games.
Congratulations to our players Harvey F, Harvey R, Reon, Ola, Abbi P, Kofi, Callum, Ollie, Mackenzie, Madison, Hannah and Aimee Jo, who represented the school so well and showed a great level of skill and determination on the sports field. Well done, you are great sporting ambassadors for North Lakes School.
