Cumbria Sumdog (Mar 2018)

The competition was tough in the Spring Cumbria Sumdog Contest, however many of our pupils were successful and finished in the top 50!

Elterwater Maths missed out on winning the entire Cumbria contest by 2 points and took 2nd place with 462 points; Rydal Maths Group were 3rd (389pts), Bassenthwaite Maths group took 4th (314pts), Windermere Maths Group 8th (250pts), Buttermere Maths 11th (169pts), Coniston Maths 12th (145pts) and Ullswater Maths 16th (85pts) in Cumbria!

Daily winners in the contest included Bassenthwaite, Windermere and Rydal. North Lakes also had 21 of the top 50 students in Cumbria!  Each competitor could answer a maximum of 1000 questions each. Jack D (Windermere Maths, Y3) was 9th in Cumbria, with a tremendous 909 correct and Ethan G (Elterwater Maths, Y5) was 10th with 907 questions correct.  Congratulations must go to both of you!

Children really need to visit Sumdog on a regular basis as it helps to develop and revise their basic Maths and Literacy Skills - it is proven to sharpen our skills and it is great fun.
