Computing Club (Spring 2015)

During Computing Club this term, the children have been trying out their skills on a variety of computer programmes.  They have tried their hand at some coding, using Scratch to programme a computer animal to do different activities.  They also used Barclay’s Digital Playground to develop and embed their coding skills changing numbers and words within predesigned codes, and observing the changes in colours, sounds and actions of the character.

The children have also explored the different areas of Sumdog, taking challenges in Reading as well as Maths and have developed their general ICT skills by creating posters in Microsoft Word or presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.  Some of the children have taken what they have learned in their recent Computing lessons and extended their learning, especially with Audacity and Scratch.
