November 27th brought around the last horse riding session of the year for five of our children, Ike, Kieran, Sarah, Matthew and Andrew. All the children along with those from other local schools enjoyed lots of horseback games like follow my leader, pass the ball and relay races. Mostly these games ended in fits of giggles, especially from Andrew.
The horses were looking really festive in their tinsel bridles and Santa hats. They must have known a V.I.P was set to arrive - and he did! Santa Claus trotted around handing out goody bags to each child. They were also given a calendar with a picture of them and their horse on it.
It was a lovely end to the riding year. Merry Christmas and a big thank you to all the R.D.A volunteers and their horses. You will be missed by all the children over the winter.
