Choir Sing at Golden Apple Awards 2013 (Oct 13)

As previous winners of the CN 'Innovation in the Arts Award' North Lakes School Choir was invited to perform and entertain this years finalists at the glittering award ceremony held at Carlisle Racecourse in October. This was the first performance for the choir this year and also the first performance for many of its new members. With very few rehearsals the choir performed to their usual impeccable standard. A big thank you to all of the parents who came along to help on the evening too.

This was Alice's first performance since joining North Lakes in September, she writes… '
“When I went to Carlisle Racecourse to sing at the award ceremony, I was so excited and a little bit anxious! We were about to sing in front of a lot of people. My tummy was filled with butterflies flying about wanting to be let out. Even though I was nervous I knew it would be good fun to sing our hearts out to the public. We got into our places and it was boiling although trying to remember the words took your mind off it. The Public seemed to smile and clap - they loved it, we never wanted it to end! When it finally did end we plodded back to the bus. However we were filled with things to tell to our parents! I loved it. It was a great experience and one I will never forget.” Alice Y6
