Do you have any ideas for this page?  Why not let your School Councillors or Mrs Clark and Mr Pincombe know!

Buttermere class is colourful because we all wear our school uniform and our class is colourful. Children in Buttermere class are kind and the teachers are also kind. We all like to play with the games that we have got like mouse trap and the one Mrs. Clark bought us which is called Magnetix. We have a computer in our classroom and one outside our classroom, everyday someone gets a turn on the computer.

This Spring term we are learning about the Titanic. We are preparing a performance for the U Dance Festival in Carlisle in March. We have shared the diary of Margaret Anne Brady, and we have learned more about the story of Declan’s relative, his great grandad’s cousin, who sailed from Ireland on the Titanic and escaped by cutting the lifeboat ropes free with her penknife!

We have been baking cakes for a Titanic high tea and learning more about icebergs in Science- there will be photos on the website soon. We go swimming at Penrith Leisure Centre every week and we are enjoying this. Buttermere  class are looking forward to our residentials soon: Y5 will go to Hawse End for the Titanic experience and Y5 will have an exciting two days going outdoors at Fellside!

In Buttermere there are thirty-one children. Every week a different child has a different job to do in the classroom. We are a mixture of Year 5 and Year 4 children and we all get along well, our class teachers are Mrs Clark and Mr Pincombe. We have our own school councillors too who are Eve B in Y5 and her shadow is Harry M, and in Y4 we have Shannon S and her shadow is James E.
